Case registered in Bandra court, hearing on February 28
According to the report of 'Dainik Bhaskar', two institutions of Maharashtra filed complaints against the film in the court. A complaint was filed against Mahesh Manjrekar in the Bandra Court in this case. This complaint was given by the Kshatriya Maratha Seva Sanstha in the Metropolitan Magistrate Court, after which a case has been registered against Manjrekar. Narendra, Shreyans Hirawat and NH Studios associated with the film have also been made accused in this case. DV Saroj, lawyer of Kshatriya Maratha Seva Sanstha says that the content of the film gives wrong message in the society. He has demanded that the film be banned. The matter will now come up for hearing on February 28.
Demand for action under POCSO Act
An application has been made to register a case against the film in POCSO court. Action has also been demanded against censor board chairman Prasoon Joshi. The National Commission for Women and the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights have also objected to the content of the film. The commission says that action should be taken not only on the makers of the film but also on the parents of the children working in it. Bhartiya Stree Shakti Sangathan's lawyer Prakash Salsingikar said that the film makers should be punished under the POCSO Act. On January 27, a case was filed in the sessions court under the POCSO Act. Its first hearing took place on 31 January. Seema Deshpande, president of Bhartiya Stree Shakti, said that the manner in which minor children are shown having immoral relations with women in the film, it is very shameful.
