Shah Rukh Khan often becomes the soft target on the internet for whatever he does. Right now he is landed in the controversy ever since he attended the last rites of Lata Mangeshkar where he was seen praying and later blowing air from his mouth on Lata Mangeshkar's mortal remains which is a common practice of prayers in Islam. While there is a huge debate if the superstar spat on Lata Mangeshkar's mortal remains. The internet has divided itself while some are alleging that the actor spat at Lata Didi's mortal remains while others are strongly defending him and calling him the perfect symbol of India's democracy. Amid this Lata Mangeshkar's spit controversy, one old video of SRK is going VIRAL where he is seen talking about how his family fought for the freedom of India. " Ownership does not mean that this is our India. It is what we have to do for the country. Those, who are called anti-nationals or anti-social, are people who do not think they are part of India. I feel sad because my family has fought for this country. I feel even sadder on reading about such things as it takes away from what my father told me, 'Keep this country free, as I gave it to you.". The video was shared by choreographer and host Raghav Juyal, where he showed his solidarity towards SRK and wrote, " Shah Rukh Khan has been around for a long time. But his thoughts on freedom of speech, patriotism, and anti-nationals sound relevant even two decades later."

Actor turned politician Urmila Matondkar came out in support of the actor and said it's shameful that the politics have stooped to so low, " This is not spitting. This is called offering prayer and blowing into the wind. This practice, this culture represents India too. You have put up a photo of the Prime Minister, if only you could have learned something from him. Listen to this one song by India's great daughter where she speaks of providing good sense to everyone, and how each human being is God's child." we stand with Shah Rukh Khan!
