Singer and composer Bappi Lahiri, who popularized disco music in India, has died at the age of 69. Singer died on Tuesday night at Criticare Hospital in Mumbai. The doctors who were treating Singer say that Bappi had many health problems. Now the doctor has given a statement on the death of Singer. Talking to PTI, Deepak Namjoshi said, Bappi Lahiri was hospitalized for a month and was discharged on Monday itself. But on Tuesday his condition started deteriorating and his family called the doctor at home. After this he was again brought to the hospital.
Doctor told the reason of death
The doctor also told the reason for the death of Bappi Lahiri. He said, 'He died due to OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) shortly before midnight.'
Bappi Lahiri was fondly called Bappi Da by all. He was quite popular for his songs as well as his gold. He was the disco king of the 80s and 90s. His songs from films like Namak Halal, Disco Dancer and Dance-Dance have been a huge hit. He has also given hit songs in films like Himmatwala, Sharabi, Adventure of Tarzan, Satyamev Jayate, Commando, Aaj Ke Shahenshah, Thanedar, Numbri Aadmi, Shola and Shabnam. Bappi's first Bollywood hit as a singer and composer came from Aamir Khan's father Tahir Hussain's film Zakhmi.
Bappi has also sung songs for the new generation like Oo La La from Dirty Picture, Tune Mari Entries from the film Gunday, Tamma-Tamma from Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Hey Pyaar Kar Le from Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. Bappi composed the song Bhankas song from Tiger Shroff's film Baaghi 3 in the last year 2020.
Last year was also hospitalized
Last year also Bappi Da was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital after being found positive. In September, Bappi, while reacting to the news about his ill health, had said in an interview to Hindustan Times, "I am shocked to see many reports in which it is written that I have lost my voice. This is very shameful and I am deeply saddened by it. I was shooting for my grandson's documentary 3 days ago. How do I lose my voice? I have been working in this industry for 50 years and I have never had such an experience. I had mild cough and I was taking syrups and pills for that. It's a small thing and I'm fine.
