The batting maestro has inspired generations of Indians and cricket lovers around the world, including filmy folks who swears by Tendulkar’s master strokes in his celebrated victories. As soon as the news of Sachin’s retirement from the most followed game in the world reached Shahrukh Khan, the Baadshah of the bada parda didn’t waste any time to comment on the cricketer’s decision. “O no! Suddenly realized the meaning of addiction. Mine was the master. I am going thru cold turkey. To see cricket without Sachin? Unbearable,” Khan tweeted.

Not just Shahrukh, ST has been good friends with King Khan’s arch-rival Aamir Khan as well! Remember, the Perfectionist actor had roped in the cricket star to endorse 3 Idiots? No wonder the film based on cricket became the first highest grosser of Hindi cinema! Sachin not only attended the private screening of the Rajkumar Hirani film with wife Anjali but also praised the film to no end. He was also spotted at the special screening of Aamir’s Dhobi Ghat.
During Ashutosh Gowariker’s Lagaan, much credit was given to Tendulkar for helping out the movie team perfect the cricket scenes, “I just helped them with the sound recording. I suggested Aamir that the best place and time to do the recording would be during the India-Australia Test at Wankhede. The noise in the stadium was too much and it couldn’t be more original,” Tendulkar was quoted saying then. Obviously, it only strengthened the camaraderie between the two perfectionists!
