Born on September 26, 1923, Dev ‘evergreen ’Anand was a part of the Indian cinema as an actor, writer, director and producer. There was a striking resemblance between his reel and real life, he was flamboyant and was 18 at heart even when he passed away in London at 88 two years back. Cinema was his ultimate love, and his zeal for life and charm was inimitable. Dev saab as he was popularly referred to unlike his contemporaries continued to romance heroines and worked until his last days. In fact he was working on his film Chargesheet which was supposed to be an extension of his hit film Hare Rama Hare Krishna.
