The 60th Filmfare Awards of South cinema (2012) were held on July 20 in Hyderabad, with the who’s who of the four South Indian film industries attending the glam night. We saw Best Actor (Male) award-winner Dhanush with his pretty director wife Aishwarya in tow, and also his good friend and 3 co-star Shruti Haasan. There was music maestro AR Rahman, and actors Tamannaah, Amala Paul, Charmme Kaur, Kushboo and Priyamani, among others.
Dhanush also took home the Best Playback Singer (Male) trophy for his viral hit Why this kolaveri di from 3. Samantha won Best Actor(Female) for Telugu film Eega and Tamil film Neethane En Ponvasanthan.
Starting up with his first black lady i.e., Filmfare award in 2012, Dhanush has bagged two films fares this year for best actor and best singer. The versatile actor cum producer is very happy at the same time apologized all the singers and composers and dedicated his award to late lyricist Vaali.
Samantha was the other to take two Filmfares home in 2013 for being the best heroine in Tamil and Telugu film industries. Balaji Sakthivel, Thambi Ramaiah, D. Imman were few others to bag Black lady.
