Gaurav Gera has developed a new found respect for women ever since he began dressing as Mrs Pammi Pyarelal. The actor who loves talking, wearing costumes and doing over-the-top acts says that he has no qualms about playing a woman, but never realised it would be this tough…
The versatile actor claims that playing a married woman is not as easy as it seems. While onscreen Gaurav is married to Karan Goddwani, we find out about his relationship status in real life: “I am single and I don’t have the time to mingle. I am busy with so much work every day. Even in between Mrs Pammi Pyarelal shoots, I go to Delhi for my musical play Jhumroo. So that leaves me with no time for relationships. Plus, I’ve recently had a really bad break-up – it was a long relationship; however, it’s done and over with. So as of now I am not interested and frankly I don’t have the time for it either,” said Gaurav.
So no pressure for marriage? “There’s always pressure from my parents, but I am not ready,” he explained.
Tell us about your ideal partner: “I want somebody like Pammi as my life partner. Pammi is ultra cute as a person. She is loveable, funny and full of life. I love the faces she makes, and she is pretty too. Now I do not mean that I want a male dressed up as a woman – let’s be clear about that!”
The 34-year-old actor definitely has his plate full with work for now, but as they say, all work and no play can make a Gaurav a dull boy! So we cross our fingers in the hope that GG soon finds his Pammi. Right.
