Sixteen' is an upcoming film, which is already grabbing eye-balls by its trailer. The debut director Raj Purohit is all set to come up with the flick aiming at showcasing tribulations that teenagers face nowadays. The shooting of the film took place at a Delhi-based school, where Shahrukh Khan studied. The rationale behind shooting this film in that school is that the architecture of the school matches very well with the storyline of the movie.
'Sixteen' is produced by Vishwas Joshi and Shailesh R. Singh. The director said that the driving force to develop this flick came from the interaction he had with teenagers, while working on television serials. The excessive bombarding of technology on the teenagers in the form of mobile phones, internet, tabloid and a bunch of more than 300 television channels transform a teenager to reach unwanted level of maturity at a wrong age and this fact bothers a lot, said Raj Purohit.
The director also aims at illustrating the effect of parents' or any other adult person's behavior on the life of a teenager. He stated that these adults can either make or break the life of their teenager girls and boys. Many times, the adults perceive these teenagers as kids and that's what can affect the life of a teenager in a brutal way.
'Sixteen' is a tale of three teenagers named Anu, Nidhi and Tanisha and their dreams and thoughts in their lives. The film is scheduled to release on July 12.
