Wasseypur crews director talks about his latest venture, Shorts, and how such films help aspiring filmmakers
Anurag Kashyap, who directed a short film for Bombay Talkies, has woven five short stories in Shorts, the release on July 12. The filmmaker believes that the films are like a gateway to the greatest films. "This (short) is not a trend, it's just an opportunity where different people are coming to show their work, which then lead to a feature film," the 40-year-old said in Mumbai on Monday first look launch Shorts.

Meanwhile, Kashyap also revealed that filmmaker Karan Johar, who makes his debut as an actor in Bombay Velvet director has lost a lot of weight for the film. "The shooting starts next month. Karan has already lost 10 of the 12 kg mentioned. He is on a spree of weight loss as I was losing weight before we took it to the film. He still losing weight" said Kashyap.
Bombay Velvet stars Karan as a villain, while Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma playing the main leads.
