Mahesh Bhatt contemplated casting Suraj Pancholi for 'Aashiqui 2'

Not many know that before Aditya Roy Kapur was roped in for 'Aashiqui 2', Mahesh Bhatt had met Suraj Pancholi, and he was among the few names considered for the main lead for this love story. But then, the filmmaker was looking for a soft face.

Says Bhatt, "Suraj was there on our radar. He definitely has a strong presence. He has a lot of his father in him. But I needed some one vulnerable and endearing, hence I opted for Aditya." So will Bhatt consider casting Suraj in the future? "As of now I don't have anything in mind, but we keep launching new faces," he said.
