The 25-year-old commits suicide at her Mumbai residence. No suicide note found
Jiah Khan’s twitter handle describes her as an ‘actor, poet, singer, musician and dreamer’ who sees ‘life through my rose coloured glasses.’ So it comes as a shock that the 25-year-old actor chose to end her life yesterday at her Mumbai residence. According to the police, her maid, watchman and neighbours are being interrogated to find out her last visitors to establish the cause of her death. No suicide note has been found so far and the body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem.
The first one to rush was actor Aditya Pancholi. Sources present confirmed that he overlooked the proceedings when the body was being taken to the hospital. Jiah was good friends with the Pancholi family and was also rumored to be dating Aditya Pancholi’s son Suraj Pancholi.

Though the film received lot of criticism for the bold portrayal of a relationship between a teen and an older man, her screen confidence was much appreciated. She was nominated for a Filmfare Best Debut award and was touted as Bollywood's next big thing. Ram Gopal Varma who directed her in 'Nishabd' tweeted, ''Shocked and choked to hear about Jiah. So young and so pretty. Just cant believe that someone as young and so full of life is just dead. Never ever seen a debutant actress with more spunk and more spirit than Jiah when I was directing her in Nishabd.'

On hearing her death, Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “WHAT!... Jiah Khan ??? What has happened? Is this correct? Unbelievable!!!” He is not the only one. Shahid Kapoor who Jiah was cast opposite in 'Chance Pe Dance' and later replaced with Genelia D'souza tweeted, 'Shocked n saddened to hear about jiah khan ... Very disturbing ... RIP ....may her soul rest in peace,'
