Manjari Fadnis is a model and an actress who has appeared in films of various languages. Born on 10th July, 1984, Manjari has appeared in films of Hindi, Bengali, Tamil and Telugu languages.
Her debut film was ‘Rok Sako To Rok Lo’ in the year 2004. The film was based on school rivalry, and was much like Aamir Khan-starrer ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’. Her next film was the 2006 Bengali film ‘Faltu’, which went on to win the National Award for Best Film on Family Welfare. She also appeared in ‘Mumbai Salsa’, which was a failure at the box office.
In 2008, Manjari got a big break in Abbas Tyrewala’s film ‘Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na’. she played the role of Meghna, girlfriend to lead actor Imran Khan’s Jai. The film was a huge success, and even won her the Stardust Award for Breakthrough Performance Female category.
In the same year, she debuted in a Telugu film called ‘Siddu From Sikakulam’. Soon, she also debuted in a Tamil film ‘Muthirai’, in which she had also sung a song. Both these films failed at the box office. Yet, she appeared in a number of films like ‘Inkosari’, ‘Shubhapradham’ and ‘Shakti’ in Telugu, and ‘Love Kal Parso’, ‘I Am 24’ and ‘Zokkomon’ in Hindi.
Manjari is also doing films in Kannada language. Her latest release was Kannada film ‘Munjane’ which released on 2nd March, 2012.
Manjari Fadnis has also done TV commercials for ‘Onida’ products and ‘iBall’ pen drives.
