Not since I sent you a newsletter, but since I last wrote to you. Truly, took out time to write what my heart has to say. After spending two weeks in Japan, I fell sick last weekend. I was down with a sore throat and fever - such is life. I was so kicked on Monday morning but my Monday evening was spent in bed. I also did a trial class at a gym after 5 years. I just felt strange to see so many humans at once and using so many machine-assisted things. So home weightlifting it is, for me. :) I just got done writing an article about Japan. In fact, I’ll be writing a lot more articles about it soon so I won’t spam you with the details about how my holiday was. I have something exciting to write about today, which will appeal more to those who are creative or into Bollywood (or both). I finished watching The Romantics on Netflix. Something that resonated with me was the mindset and creative process of Aditya Chopra, the owner of one of the largest film studios in the country and a multi-millionaire who chooses to stay away from the public. His last interview was decades ago and he has no latest photos. He said he lives his life that way to be away from validation. Once you see people love you and the numbers grow, you get a kick from it and want to keep pleasing them. But often, that noise can take you away from things that matter. Your craft, purpose, and listening to your heart. Even in today’s time, we’re so busy seeking validation and cheap dopamine that most of us will never take out time to find out why are we really here. And that’s heartbreakingly sad. As an artist, being in love with the process and being away from cheap dopamine has helped me focus at work. This is the reason I don’t have a business coach or any set strategies, everything has been a hit and trial following my heart and intuition. I’m 1/1000th of that man, so I can’t imagine what it must mean to practice this at that big a level. What do you think? Comment, or hit reply and let me know. Today’s issue is to make you think if you’re one of the many who won’t take out time to find the reason for their existence and you’re following a template that everyone follows, even if it makes you unhappy. I’ll wait to hear from you. Love, N What I Wrote This WeekI wrote 5 articles this week, three of them about Japan lol.
