Fried Idli Recipe: Try This Homemade Fry Idli
In today's modern era, french fries are very popular. At the same time, if you want to try some different snack then Idli Fry (Idli) can try. This is a popular dish of South India. You can make this dish on the weekend (Fried Idli) can try. You can make it using leftover idli. This is an easy to make and delicious snack that kids will love. It can be served as breakfast or as an after school or evening snack. You can also garnish this idli recipe with oregano and chili flakes to make it spicy. Everyone will like this recipe very much. It takes very less time to make it. fried idli (Fried Idli Recipe) can be served hot with a cup of tea. You can add your favorite chutney, ketchup, tandoori sauce or mayonnaise on the idli. Ingredients of Fry Idli
10 idlis
3 chopped tomatoes
1 1/2 cups shredded white cabbage
1 teaspoon ground salt
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
2 chopped onions
1 chopped capsicum (green chili)
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
2 pinch chili flakes
2 tbsp refined oil
How to make Fry Idli
Step – 1 Heat oil and add mustard seeds
Take a non stick pan and add oil to it. Heat it on medium heat. Take care that the oil is not too hot. Then put some mustard seeds in the pan and wait for them to splutter.
Step – 2 Fry the vegetables
When mustard seeds crackle, add onions and fry till they become soft or light pink in color. Now add tomatoes, cabbage, capsicum and fry for a minute on medium flame. Add some salt and ketchup.
Step – 3 Stir fry the idlis
Take the remaining idlis. Cut them into 4 pieces and add them to the mixture. Mix it well and garnish with green coriander and serve. If guests are coming to your house suddenly or have to prepare for a party, then you can prepare this snack in a jiffy. Everyone will like this Fry Idli. It takes very less time to make it.
