Shweta Tiwari reportedly apologized for her problematic comments at a gathering in Bhopal on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022, wherein she invoked God while discussing her bra size.
Shweta Tiwari was in Bhopal promoting her upcoming web series when she said in an interview "Bhagwan mere bra ki size le Gaye hai." As a result, the video of her saying the controversial thing went viral on social media, causing the statement to hurt the Indian audience and resulting in an FIR being filed against Shweta Tiwari in Bhopal.
Following the prosecution of an FIR, prominent tv & Bollywood actress Shweta Tiwari gave a press conference to address the anger over her 'Lord and bra' comments. "It has brought to my attention that a specific comment of mine related to a coworker's past function has indeed been misrepresented." her representative remarked.
When taken in perspective, one could see that the comment about 'God' was made in connection to Sourabh Raj Jain's who is famous for his several roles as a god. People link the character names with artists, therefore I used it as an instance in that interview.
"Unfortunately, it's been entirely misinterpreted, eventually, it is a horrible sight to watch." As someone who has long been shown to be a devout follower of 'God,' there seems to be no possibility at all that I could remark anything which would offend the general public. Yet, I've realized, it's been misconstrued unintentionally and people are angrier and sad about this.
Please know that I've never intended to do someone harm with my comments or behavior. As a result, I respectfully regret the pain that my comment has unwittingly inflicted many individuals," the message said.
The artist was charged with wounding religious sensibilities in a police report. In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, the petition was brought to the Shyamala Hills police station.
