Bang Bang movie review: Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif

The Siddharth Anand directorial, which is the official remake of Tom Cruise-Cameron Diaz starrer Knight And Day has hit the screens today (October 2), but does it really deserve your presence in the theatre? We tell you…
What’s it about?
Hrithik Roshan plays Rajveer Nanda, a charming man, but we don’t really know if he’s a good guy, a bad guy, or a good guy posing as a bad guy. Anyway, he lives on an edge and messes with the baddies. All this to safeguard a Kohinoor. Then he meets Harleen Sahni (Katrina Kaif), an innocent bank receptionist, who is charmed by his good looks and his style of dealing with the hazardous situations. However, the more she meets him, the more she gets into the entire chaos, which Rajveer takes along with him. However, she is unaware about the causes of such mayhem. Is Rajveer trustworthy or is he just using Harleen for his own purpose? We ain’t gonna tell you that. Watch it to know it!
What’s hot:
Siddharth Anand may not have proved his prowess as a director, but he will surely be remembered for his latest offering. What you will really love about Bang Bang are those high-octane car chases, open shoot-outs, and other breathtaking stunts. Especially the F1 car sequences on the roads of Abu Dhabhi will surely drive you crazy and give you goosebumps. Though the first half was pretty boring, but the second half will keep you glued to your seats. The Krrish 3 actor pulls off every action sequence brilliantly. Also his gentle and sometimes rib-tickling attitude towards Katrina is amazing. Katrina as an innocent and troubled lady is great. The chemistry between Hrithik and Katrina is something to watch out for. We think, the duo should do more movies together. Danny Denzongpa as a bad man is frightful. Jaaved Jaffrey too is impressive. Pawan Malhotra as a government agent is good once again. Music by Vishal Shekhar is already topping the charts.
What’s not:
Despite all those amazing action sequences, Bang Bang occasionally suffers due to poor screenplay. There are quite a few scenes in the movie where logic is  dumped into dustbin just like in Knight And Day. The story writer trio of Sujoy Ghosh, Suresh Nair and Abbas Tyrewala should have learnt from the mistakes that the writers of Knight And Day made. But unfortunately, they didn’t. Lastly, the breathtaking locations namely Shimla, Manali, Abu Dhabi and Prague and others change like a slide show and we are left wondering how did that happen!
What to do:
Despite all the blemishes, Bang Bang is certainly worth a watch. Hrithik and Katrina will keep you entertained throughout.
