It was an awards show hosted for the year’s Best Dressed Men but it was certainly the ladies who took the cake away with their interesting style sense at the award show!
Here is looking at some of the best dressed women at the GQ awards held last night…
The Mary Kom actress teamed monochrome with retro for the award function last night. Her attire was completely in keeping with the ‘Rock and Roll with an Indian soul’ theme of the show. The block monochrome Toni Maticevski gown was worn well by PC but the highlight of her outfit was the retro hair-do teamed with an oxblood lip. Love!
She is known to keep her dressing sense classy and edgy at the same time. Kangana chose to wear a grey Vivienne Westwood gown to one of the most celebrated fashion events of the year. Famous for wearing Burberry to every public appearance, Kangy went for a welcome change this time. The look was clean and simple and the statement earrings added the edginess to the outfit. Well worn, we say!
Undoubtedly, the most boldly dressed celeb at the award function, The Shaukeens actress wore a black sheer gown to the men’s awards event. With hair pulled back in a pony and a grey clutch, Lisa let the outfit do the talking for her and didn’t accessorize it heavily. Good call!
We were slightly disappointed by her last night’s GQ appearance. Though edgy, the all black Dolce and Gabbana jacquard suit didn’t look the best on Nargis. Perhaps loosing the Fedora would have made the ensemble more impressive. Moreover we were expecting her to recreate some previous GQ awards magic with a sexy gown. Not the biggest fans of the look, but it was definitely not the worst look of the evening.
The Badlapur actress wore a golden Saaj by Ankita gown. The sequinned gown accentuated her voluptuous figure and the thigh-high slit was the highlight of the ensemble. Huma rounded off the look with an elaborate bun and golden stilettos. Keeping it sexy Huma, we like!
The Murder 3 actress was dressed in a black Gaurav Gupta couture gown at the event. The choice of wearing a black lace optical illusion gown with nude panels was a smart move as it looked sexy to the eye without revealing much in reality. The rounding off of the look with a strong oxblood lip, a golden clutch and side-swept curls kept the look from being too gothic.
The Hate Story 2 actress quite frankly looked bland in the monochrome gown. Neck up the look was stunning and we loved the severe middle-parted hair in a bun and the retro eye make-up. But apart from that the outfit was too drab to make an impact. Better luck next time Surveen.
