Who would have thought that an 18th century novel and Rajinikanth's most-mouthed punch dialogue would have a connection? Well, here's one from the Jane Austen, who is now considered to be the queen of modern slang. It turns out that Austen's Emma has a line which reads 'If I've told you once, I've told you a 100 times." Coincidentally, Rajini's evergreen punch dialogue from his film Baasha — Naa oru thadavai sonna, nooru thadava sonna madhiri — conveys the same.
Now, we wonder if director Suresh Krissna had read Austen somewhere.
